Applied Humanities: Arts
Look at how artists, poets, musicians, actors deal with the Big Questions of Life. Then express your own insights through artistic journaling in an Altered Book and a variety of other arts. We will listen to and read about what creative people do and think about questions such as: How can I become more creative? Where is my place? Where do I put the pain? Where does hope live? How can I create a better reality for myself? This is not a technique class, but it will help you bring substance and depth to your life and what ever art you choose to express yourself. Some students have said AHA! was the best class they took in high school.
